COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State only lost nine of the 92 football games Urban Meyer coached during his seven-year tenure. Last season, that loss was ultimately the deciding factor in what kept the Buckeyes out of the College Football Playoff. In each game, one player made the difference, with the most recent being Purdue’s Rondale Moore. In a 49-20 win, Moore had a total of 252 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns. OSU won’t have to deal with Moore again until 2021 — if he decides to stay for his senior season — but there are plenty of players on its Big Ten schedule who could provide the impact to potentially derail its playoff hopes.
