COLUMBUS, Ohio — NCAA.com still believes that Ohio State will be among the elite teams in the country after releasing its preseason top 25 rankings. The Buckeyes debut at No. 3 behind Clemson and Alabama. Those two will most likely be the top two teams on most preseason rankings this year. The Tigers and Crimson Tide have separated themselves from the rest of college football. Meanwhile, the Buckeyes have been considered as one of the best team in the group a step below the level of the two teams who have dominated the College Football Playoff. Only three teams have won a national championship since the inaugural playoff and Ohio State is one of them. Despite the loss of its legendary coach, record-breaking quarterback and trio of wide receivers many are still high on what OSU can accomplish this season.
