COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jaylan Knighton of Deerfield Beach (Fla.) High School announced on Tuesday evening that he has committed to Florida State. The four-star running back — rated as the No. 94 overall player and No. 3 all-purpose back — chose the Seminoles over Clemson, Florida State, LSU and Ohio State. He is the third player to attend the Buckeyes’ Backyard Bash and Barbecue to commit elsewhere. Despite the official visit he has been expected to choose the Seminoles for some time with a slim chance of choosing Ohio State. As a 5-foot-9, 194-pound back Knighton can be used in a multitude of way, but may not be an every-down back at the college level.
