Ohio State senior safety Jordan Fuller is excited as anyone about the new defensive scheme that the Buckeyes will deploy this season. Some of the changes include mixing in more zone coverages, and at times having just one true safety on the field. Which would be Fuller. Another change will be Fuller not “quarterbacking” the defense as much as he did the previous two seasons. “If I’m in the middle of the field, I would still be making calls, but I definitely won’t be thinking as much,” Fuller said. “I’ll say that.
