Pennsylvania State court declines to review Jerry Sandusky decision: Buckeye Breakfast


COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Pennsylvania Supreme Court had ruled that it will not give former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky a new trial. In 2012, Sandusky was found guilty of 45 of the 48 counts against him for child sexual abuse. He was sentenced to 30-60 years in prison. “We’re very disappointed,” Sandusky defense attorney Al Lindsay said. “We were very hopeful the Supreme Court would hear our appeal, because it’s a very strong appeal.” Lindsay stated that Sandusky would most likely seek help from the federal courts as the two will meet later this week at the State Correctional Institution at Laurel Highlands.
