COLUMBUS, Ohio — There’s nothing like a brand new state of the art college football locker. Most of the time, renovated locker rooms include brand new lockers, flat-screen televisions and other features most 18-24 year-old would love. Then there’s what LSU did. The Tigers’ locker room includes dedicated pod space for each player instead of comfortable chairs. The pods look for like what you would see in first class on an airplane. The complete renovation of the football building costs nearly $28 million — which according to The Advocate’s Brooks Kubena was paid for through private donations — and included an additional 25,000 square fear replacing the previous center that has stood since 2005. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the facility on July 24. It’s a nice new building, but that doesn’t mean that everyone agrees with it.
