CHICAGO — Ohio State, Michigan State and Nebraska were the featured programs during Thursday’s round of Big Ten Media Days here at the downtown Hilton on Michigan Avenue. Now it’s Penn State’s turn. James Franklin and a few of his Nittany Lion players will be part of the Big Ten presentation Friday along with Jim Harbaugh and Michigan State, Kirk Ferentz and Iowa and Paul Chryst and Wisconsin. Here’s what to look for … Franklin enters his sixth season with the Lions. Has it really been that long? I can remember his first Big Ten Media Days appearance in the summer of 2014. The Franklin Era would include an interesting season opener against Central Florida in Dublin and Big Ten defenses were a bit on edge at the prospect of dealing with second-year PSU quarterback Christian Hackenberg, who shined during his true freshman season with former Lions coach Bill O’Brien.…
