CHICAGO — Jim Harbaugh was done with Urban Meyer, but he decided to try for one more win. What we once thought would be a second version of the Ten Year War ended after four with Meyer’s retirement. That meant part of Harbaugh’s legacy was cemented — 0-4 against the Buckeyes with Meyer as the coach. Someday Harbaugh will beat Ohio State. He will. I don’t think he’ll leave Michigan winless in the rivalry, because he won’t let himself leave winless. But while Meyer’s departure removed a hurdle for the Wolverines in the Big Ten, it also withdrew an opportunity. Harbaugh will never beat Meyer on the field.
