In late March Ryan Day and his staff welcomed in a number of elite prospects. One of those travelled cross country to visit Ohio State for the first time, cornerback Clark Phillips from LaHabra (Calif.). Phillips visited Ohio State on a Thursday and then stayed over and watched the Buckeyes’ during a Friday morning spring practice before heading to Notre Dame for a Saturday visit. After his visit with the Buckeyes Phillips raved about Ohio State. “It was awesome,” Phillips said at the time. “That visit was great. I enjoyed the personal meetings with the coaches and head coach. And I enjoyed the practice – great competitive energy.
