ESPN: Justin Fields isn't Ohio State's 'plug and play fix' at QB

Exiting Saturday’s spring game, Ohio State coach Ryan Day contends the Buckeyes have not decided on a starting quarterback and the race between Justin Fields and Matthew Baldwin is still very much an open competition. It’s hard to pull takeaways from scrimmage performances when quarterbacks aren’t live and varying personnel litter the field, but there were noticeable positives from each player that they can carry into summer before putting their best foot forward in August. Senior Bucknuts analyst Steve Helwagen says it’s short-sighted to think Baldwin, who had better numbers than Fields over the weekend, is a step ahead of the Georgia transfer. “It’s an unfair comparison.
