Ohio State’s annual spring game will take place on Saturday afternoon. On Friday, the Buckeyes released the spring game rosters. As is typically the case, the full Scarlet and Gray roster was broken into two teams, the Scarlet and Gray. Earlier this week, first-year head coach Ryan Day said the rosters would be constructed in order to get first-team players against first-team players early in the game and then get those guys — the ones who have plenty of reps under their belt — out of the game in order to keep them healthy. That is evident based on the spring game rosters. The Scarlet team will be coached by co-defensive coordinator Greg Mattison who will be assisted by running backs coach Tony Alford, special teams and assistant secondary coach Matt Barnes, offensive line coach Greg Studrawa and passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Mike Yurcich.
