Lejond Cavazos, 4-star safety from Texas, recommits to Buckeyes: Ohio State football recruiting

COLUMBUS, Ohio — After decommitting from Ohio State’s football program in December, four-star safety Lejond Cavazos of Florida’s IMG Academy announced Friday evening that he’s back with the Buckeyes. Cavazos is ranked as the nation’s 22nd-best safety and the 42nd-best player in the Florida by 247Sports.com. The Seguin, Texas, native announced on Twitter in December that he was re-opening his recruitment after Urban Meyer stepped down and Ryan Day took over as head coach. Cavazos said then that Ohio State would still be in the mix, and that he always had dreamed of playing for Meyer. He has more than 20 offers, including from Michigan, Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Oregon. Here is Ohio State’s class for 2020 as it stands. The first day players can sign with colleges is Dec. 18:
