Ryan Day was in the state of Washington on in January to see Buckeye 2020 offensive line target Geirean Hatchett from Ferndale (Wash.). Day had let Hatchett know he would be at his school on Jan. 22. Day could not talk to Hatchett face-to-face off the Ohio State campus at this point, but he talked to Hatchett’s coaches and they let Hachett know how much the Buckeyes want him. “(Day told them) they are serious about me and intend to put effort into recruiting me,” Hatchett said at the time. “He told my coaches that they think I’m the right fit for the type of offensive lineman they are trying to get.” Just less than three months later Hatchett has come out with the five schools he plans to move forward with in the recruiting process and Ohio State is one of them.
