The initial 247Sports player rankings for the class of 2021 are out and it is highlighted by Ohio State defensive end commitment Jack Sawyer who leads a strong Ohio class of 2021. There are nine prospects total from the state of Ohio in the Top247 led by Sawyer from Pickerington North who checks in as the country’s No. 2 overall prospect. Sawyer got Ryan Day’s 2021 Ohio State recruiting class off to a grand slam start when he announced a commitment to the Buckeyes over Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame and many others who had offered Sawyer a scholarship. There are nine Ohioans total in the top 193 prospects of the Top247 five of which the Buckeyes have already offered a scholarship.
