It is an annual race after every NCAA Final Four for national outlets covering college basketball to share their “way too early look” at the following season. The NCAA Tournament wrapped up at about 11:30 p.m. last night with Virginia’s overtime victory over Texas Tech at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Even before the streamers and confetti could be cleaned up, the various national websites were already posting their projections for the 2019-20 season. In college basketball, these lists are presumptive at best because dozens of the sport’s underclassmen will probably at least test the waters on a possible jump to the NBA.
