Keeping Kevin Wilson may be biggest move for Buckeye offense

Ohio State had a historic offense in 2018. The Buckeyes finished the year ranked second in the country in total offense behind only Oklahoma, averaging 535.6 yards per game. Quarterback Dwayne Haskins finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting as the offense transitioned into a more pass-first attack. Much of the credit for the offense’s success went to Ryan Day. The Scarlet and Gray’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach was rewarded when he was named Ohio State’s head coach after Urban Meyer announced he would retire following the Rose Bowl. But the success of the Buckeye offense wasn’t just due to Day’s expertise and one man who also deserves credit is co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Kevin Wilson.
