Mark your calendars, Buckeye fans. Ohio State has announced that the 2019 spring football game will be held on Saturday, April 13 at Ohio Stadium. The time has not been announced yet, but the spring game usually begins at 1 or 1:30 p.m. [Editor’s note: There will not be an OSU lacrosse game prior to the spring game this year. The Buckeyes’ lacrosse team will play at Johns Hopkins the following day.] Ohio State holds the all-time college football record for attendance at a spring game — 100,189 — which was set in 2016. The Buckeyes also hold the No. 2 mark on the list: 99,391 in 2015. In 2017, Ohio State had a spring game attendance of 80,134 due to renovations at Ohio Stadium which reduced capacity.
