COLUMBUS, Ohio — Rutgers was thoroughly out-played in the first half Saturday against Ohio State. But the Scarlet Knights’ worst imaginable fear occurred on the final play of the half. That’s when quarterback Art Sitkowski was sacked by Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa with 22 seconds left in the second quarter. As the final seconds dwindled, Sitkowski needed to be helped off the turf by his offensive linemen, who did no service to their bruised-and-battered quarterback throughout the first half. Sitkowski appeared to be injured as he walked to the sideline, then crashed to the bench and was tended to by Rutgers’ medical staff. It appeared the Rutgers doctors were looking at the right-handed Sitkowski’s throwing arm.
