Texas stadium for Ohio State football game vs. TCU has been kind to Buckeyes

ARLINGTON, Texas — When the Ohio State University football team plays Texas Christian University on Sept. 15, the Horned Frogs will, in theory, have home-field advantage. But on my visit to AT&T Stadium earlier this year, the Buckeyes seemed to own the place. The game had been scheduled to take place at TCU’s Amon G. Carter Stadium on the university’s Fort Worth campus, but it was moved to AT&T Stadium, 20 miles east in Arlington, because of the size of the expected crowd. AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, holds about 100,000 (including standing-room-only areas), about twice as many as the TCU venue. The NFL stadium was the site of two of Ohio State’s biggest wins in recent years — history that was evident during the guided tour I took in May.
