COLUMBUS, Ohio — On the Monday of its first game week of the 2018 season, three more Ohio State freshmen lost their black stripes, which means they have officially become Buckeyes. Cornerback Sevyn Banks and defensive linemen Tyler Friday and Javontae Jean-Baptiste lost their stripes. Friday, who played his high school football in New Jersey, was the No. 6 defensive tackle and No. 93 player in the country according to 247Sports.com’s composite rankings. Banks, a native of Orlando, was ranked No. 23 among cornerbacks and No. 221 overall.
