On Sunday, the Ohio State athletic department announced that the media blackout surrounding the Ohio State football program will end on Monday as interim head coach Ryan Day and defensive coordinator Greg Schiano will hold a press conference at 11:45 a.m., returning the program to traditional game week operations. Players will also be available to answer questions from the media on Tuesday, following the release of the Week 1 depth chart. The football program had gone almost completely media silent following the paid administrative leave of head coach Urban Meyer in early August. Save two brief open practice windows, this will be the first insight that media members— and by extension, fans— get into the 2018 Ohio State football team.
