Ready for some football? Ohio State releases blips and clips as media blackout continues

COLUMBUS —  Ohio State’s investigation of Urban Meyer has not only kept the football coach away from his players and staff this preseason.  It has also sidelined the local media.  Aside from one short viewing window early last week that coincided with the Big Ten Network’s annual day of access, the local press has not been allowed to see anything the Buckeyes are doing on the field this preseason.  >>RELATED: Ohio State offers peek at practice Interviews with players and coaches have also been suspended until further notice, an understandable precaution given the sensitive nature of the investigation into what Meyer and others knew about the domestic abuse allegations against former assistant Zach Smith.  Recommended for you Recommended for you Recommended for you (Typically there would be 2-4 viewing windows and a dozen or more interview opportunities during preseason camp.)  The football team’s social media team has had lots of work, though.  >>RELATED: What to…
