Ohio State football: ESPN predicts Dwayne Haskins as Buckeyes starting QB

When former Ohio State quarterback Joe Burrow announced in May that he is transferring to LSU, Ohio State’s quarterback race officially became a battle between redshirt sophomore Dwayne Haskins and redshirt freshman Tate Martell. Although Haskins and Martell will compete for the starting quarterback job in summer camp, it is widely believed that Haskins will be the one starting under center for the Buckeyes in the upcoming college football season. In fact, ESPN’s Mitch Sherman agrees with that notion. In an article released on Friday, ESPN’s staff predicted the starting quarterbacks for several programs, including Ohio State. While the article points out that Martell is a former 4-star recruit, it gives the edge to Haskins winning the starting job.
