Ohio State landed a commitment from 5-star wide receiver Garrett Wilson of Austin, Texas, on Sunday night. Wilson plays at Lake Travis in Texas now but grew up in Dublin, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus, and will have the opportunity to return home to play in front of many family members. The 6-foot, 185-pound prospect is ranked as the No. 5 wide receiver and No. 29 overall recruit in the 2019 class by the 247Sports composite rankings. He chose Ohio State over Texas, his other finalist, and collected over 30 scholarship offers in total. Alabama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and other programs entered the mix as well.
