Tate Martell, Nick Bosa and Ohio State football's spring game losers do landscape work on Buckeye Grove

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State’s culture since Urban Meyer arrived has been all about winner/loser. There’s incentive to winning. Or in some cases, there’s incentive not to lose. That’s how it goes for the team that loses the spring game. The Gray team beat the Scarlet team, 37-14, on Saturday. What that means is for players like Tate Martell, Nick Bosa and Chase Young is that they had to spend Friday doing landscaping work along Buckeye Grove. The members of the team, which includes the first-team defense, Martell and the specialists were out on Friday morning doing mulch work along the grove, either bringing it by wheelbarrow or raking it around the trees. Even players like Tuf Borland, who didn’t play due to a left Achilles injury, were out there putting in work.
