On June 1, the Rutgers staff is hosting another high school football one day position camp, where it will be accompanied by the Ohio State staff. Prospects from throughout New Jersey and its neighboring states will be evaluated by a bevy of coaches from the Big Ten East — one of the most competitive divisions in Power 5 play. The camp will serve as the first of four legs of Rutgers’ East Coast Elite camp series, now in its third year. Unlike the Tri-State Showcase — the Rutgers-Ohio State-Temple satellite camp from 2016, which allegedly started out as a response to Michigan’s satellite camp at Paramus Catholic, drew over 1,000 participants and was held all over the Fairleigh Dickinson campus in Madison, N.J. — this camp will instead take place at Rutgers, which will get the chance to show off its new state of the art practice fields.
