Urban Meyer gets two-year contract extension, pay raise Urban Meyer’s contract extension was officially announced by Ohio State on Thursday. The two-year extension — which will be voted on by Ohio State’s full Board of Trustees on Friday — will keep Meyer with the Buckeyes through the 2022 season, and will make him the highest-paid coach in the Big Ten. Meyer will start making $7.6 million annually, passing Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh for the biggest salary in the conference.
