Tony Carr scored 28 points on Thursday night in Columbus. None were bigger than his final three. The Penn State sophomore banked in the game-winning shot as the Nittany Lions led by a lot and then not at all before the buzzer-beater took down No. 13 Ohio State by a final score of 82-79 at Value City Arena. It marked Penn State’s first top-25 win of the season and improved head coach Pat Chambers’ team to 14-8 on the year and 4-5 in the Big Ten. Carr’s shot came after the Buckeyes’ Keita Bates-Diop hit a three to tie the game at 79 with five seconds to play.
