COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ryan Day’s hot name on the coaching carousel this year has ended with him getting a promotion from Ohio State. The program announced on Tuesday that Day has, who was quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator last year, has been promoted to offensive coordinator. Kevin Wilson will also retain his offensive coordinator title, according to the release. So Day loses the “co” and Ohio State has two offensive coordinators. “Ryan is clearly a very talented coach who has been an outstanding addition to our program,” Urban Meyer said in a release. “He has been approached by other schools numerous times this off-season for coordinator and head coach opportunities, and by the National Football League for a coordinator opportunity.
