Ohio State linebacker Jerome Baker declares for the NFL Draft

Denzel Ward and Sam Hubbard were the first two Ohio State Buckeyes to declare for the NFL Draft. Now, add linebacker Jerome Baker to the list. On Monday afternoon, Baker took to Twitter to thank Buckeye Nation, and to announce his future plans. Baker was one of the leaders on defense this past season. Leading up to the Cotton Bowl, he had 67 tackles and 6.5 sacks, and against the Trojans, Baker added to his electric season by recording .5 sacks, 5 tackles and a fumble recovery. In the Big Ten Championship Game against Wisconsin, Baker etched his name into the record books with a 16-tackle performance, the most ever in the conference’s title game. While this season was good, the Cleveland native had an exceptional sophomore season—one that included an 83-tackle performance.
