Between now and then, though, a lot can change as college football heads into championship weekend. On Tuesday night, the second-to-last College Football Playoff rankings were released on ESPN, and Ohio State checked in at No. 8. The ranking represented a rise of one spot for the Buckeyes coming off a 30-21 win over Michigan. Next up, Urban Meyer’s team is set to face No. 4 Wisconsin in the Big Ten title game Saturday in Indianapolis. What It Means Ohio State has a path to the playoffs, but it’s far from a guarantee, even with a win against Wisconsin.
