Ohio State or Alabama? Urban Meyer or Nick Saban? It’s possible the final College Football Playoff spot will come down to the Buckeyes or Crimson Tide, teams with flawed resumes and championship pedigree. Some dominoes would have to fall to set this debate in motion — most importantly Ohio State beating Wisconsin in the Big Ten championship game — but it’s certainly not out of the question. So who has a better case for the playoff? On one hand, there would be 11-2 Ohio State, fresh off a Big Ten championship. Its resume includes wins over Penn State and Michigan State, and a loss to Big 12 leader Oklahoma that shouldn’t really hurt the cause.
