Ohio State football: Meyer says Barrett is 'probable' for Wisconsin

Bill Rabinowitz The Columbus Dispatch @brdispatch Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer said it was “probable” that quarterback J.T. Barrett would play Saturday night in OSU’s Big Ten championship game against Wisconsin. Barrett suffered an injury to his right knee in last week’s victory over Michigan. Later, he revealed that he has been dealing with a meniscus issue all season. Barrett did not practice on Sunday and Meyer wasn’t sure how much he would practice this week. Running is a big part of Barrett’s game. Asked if Barrett would play if he’s limited because of his knee, Meyer replied, “It’s too early to tell. That’s what this week is for.” Redshirt freshman Dwayne Haskins Jr. played superbly in relief of Barrett, leading the Buckeyes to scoring the game’s final 17 points. Ohio State (10-2) needs a victory — and probably a convincing one — to earn its way into the College Football Playoff. Wisconsin (12-0)…
