COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State’s win over Army brought with it a two-spot drop in this week’s Associated Press college football poll. No, that doesn’t make much sense. But the Buckeyes fell from No. 8 to No. 10 this week. Why? Wisconsin and Oklahoma State both jumped Ohio State this week. The Badgers went from No. 10 to No. 9 after winning 40-6 at BYU. The Cowboys went from No. 9 to No. 6 after winning 59-21 at Pitt. Alabama remained No. 1 in the AP poll, but Clemson picked up a bunch of first-place votes after winning 47-21 at Louisville. The Tigers jumped Oklahoma to take the No. 2 spot, while Penn State jumped USC to take the No. 4 spot. The Buckeyes stayed at No. 9 in this week’s coaches poll, which you can see here.
