The top 50 Ohio State football players for 2017: No. 16, WR K.J. Hill

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football opens the 2017 season on Aug. 31 at Indiana. We’re counting down the top 50 Buckeyes for this season, taking into account talent, past accomplishments, team need and potential. No. 16: K.J. Hill, Redshirt Sophomore, H-back Height, weight: 6-foot, 198 pounds. Hometown: Little Rock, Ark. Where he was ranked entering last season: Hill was No. 36 a year ago entering his first season of actually playing. That’s a 20-spot improvement this year – not bad. What he’s done: Hill caught 18 passes for 262 yards a year ago, which makes him more productive than any returning receiver. Parris Campbell had 13 catches, Terry McLaurin had 11 catches, Johnnie Dixon had four – so there wasn’t much competition. But Hill was the king of the blowout.
