4-star LB K’Vaughan Pope commits to Ohio State, Buckeyes add third linebacker in Class of 2018

In early June, Ohio State went to Virginia Beach, Va. and plucked the country’s second-ranked inside linebacker out of the Commonwealth, and put Teradja Mitchell in its 2018 recruiting class. Today, it’s another Virginia standout, Dinwiddie’s K’Vaughan Pope, who has made a verbal commitment to the Buckeyes. Pope is the country’s seventh-ranked inside linebacker, and although its questionable that he’s a middle linebacker (he’s more likely an outside linebacker, at least initially, at Ohio State), there’s no doubt that he is one of the country’s most explosive athletes. The Dinwiddie County star has chose the Buckeyes over Georgia, Florida, Clemson, Michigan State, Alabama and others, all who had offered him a scholarship.
