The top 50 Ohio State football players for 2017: No. 44, OL Demetrius Knox

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football opens the 2017 season on Aug. 31 at Indiana. We’re counting down the top 50 Buckeyes for this season taking into account talent, past accomplishments, team need and potential. No. 44: Demetrius Knox, Junior, Offensive lineman Height, weight: 6-foot-4, 308 pounds. Hometown: Fort Worth, Texas. Where he was ranked entering last season: Knox was No. 46 last preseason as a backup. So a year of experience earned him a jump of two spots. What he’s done: Knox served as a backup guard last season but missed nine games with a foot injury. He returned and played 23 snaps in the Fiesta Bowl when Michael Jordan was hurt.
