The Maxwell Football Club announced its watch lists for the Maxwell Award and the Chuck Bednarik Award on Monday, and the Ohio State football team was well-represented. Buckeyes on the radar for the Maxwell Award – annually given to the player of the year – are fifth-year senior quarterback J.T. Barrett and third-year sophomore running back Mike Weber. Barrett, the only three-time captain in Ohio State history, owns 23 school records, and is eyeing another. The 2016 Big Ten’s Griese-Brees quarterback of the year needs 1,167 passing yards to become the all-time leader in Buckeye history in terms of career passing yards.
