Athlon Sports released its preseason All-American teams on Tuesday. Among the four teams, Ohio State has five players make the cut. The Buckeyes have no first-team All-Americans, but center Billy Price and defensive end Tyquan Lewis are both on the second team, linebacker Jerome Baker is on the third and quarterback J.T. Barrett and left tackle Jamarco Jones are on the fourth team. Not surprisingly, the four College Football Playoff teams from a year ago lead the country in All-Americans on Athlon’s list. Alabama, the runners up, are on top with seven selections, following by Washington with six and the national champions tied with the Scarlet and Gray with five. Ohio State’s five selections was the most of any Big Ten program, followed by Iowa and Penn State, each with three preseason All-Americans.
