Urban Meyer was at it again on the recruiting trail Saturday when class of 2018 offensive/defensive tackle Matthew Jones offered up a verbal commitment to play for the Buckeyes. While visiting Ohio State this weekend, Jones felt compelled to end his recruitment. Alex Gleitman of Rivals.com confirmed the news on Saturday. Jones is just another in a long line of elite recruits that have pledged to call Columbus home and 247 Sports now ranks Meyer’s class as the best in the nation — bumping Miami off top billing. It’s what you call another day at the office for Meyer. Jones chose the Buckeyes over serious interest from Penn State; he also held offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and other major programs.
