Chris Holtmann’s new staff of assistant coaches will make north of $1 million combined, a slight bump in salary from the previous staff under Thad Matta.Ryan Pedon will be the highest-paid Ohio State assistant coach and will make $395,000 per year. Mike Schrage will make $325,000 and Terry Johnson will make $300,000. All numbers are a result of an open records request filed by Eleven Warriors and filled Friday by Ohio State. The total combined salary for the Buckeyes’ three new assistant coaches is $1.02 million. By comparison, under Matta, Ohio State’s previous staff of Dave Dickerson, Chris Jent and Greg Paulus made a combined salary of just over $734,000 last year.
