Michigan Football: Ohio State Isn’t A Must-Win Game Yet

Write about the Michigan Wolverines for GBMWolverine by Josh Wilson There’s going to be some talk of Michigan football being in a “must-win” situation against Ohio State this season. Don’t buy that talk just yet. As of this writing, it has been 2,028 days since Michigan football last beat Ohio State. That was in 2011. Since then, the Wolverines have lost five straight to the Buckeyes by an average of eight points. Some of those games have been among the best ever played in the series—like the 42-41 final in 2013 that ended with a failed two-point conversion, and then of course there was last season’s dramatic double-overtime finish in Columbus. Objectively, those were incredible football games to watch. But whether it’s been a one-point game or a 29-point game (2015), Michigan’s been on the losing end every time.
