Ohio State announced Wednesday morning who will be in its 2017 Athletics Hall of Fame class, and LeCharles Bentley and Mike Conley Jr. made the list. Bentley was a four-year letterman for the football team and a three-year starter along the offensive line. As a senior in 2001, Bentley was a consensus All-American. Additionally, the Cleveland St. Ignatius product was named the Big Ten Conference’s offensive lineman of the year in 2001 and was the first Buckeye to ever win the Rimington Award as the nation’s most outstanding center. Bentley was taken in the second round of the 2002 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints, where he became a two-time Pro Bowler. His professional career came to an end after four years due to an injury.
