COLUMBUS, Ohio — There was a time when Ohio State football really wanted Antwuan Jackson in Columbus. The former four-star prospect, ranked the No. 7 defensive tackle in the Class of 2016, chose Auburn over the Buckeyes — another elite defensive tackle picking some other school over Ohio State. Now, Jackson is looking to move elsewhere. That could include Ohio State, if Auburn wasn’t blocking a potential transfer to Columbus. In an interview with The State in Columbia, S.C., on June 1, Jackson said Auburn is blocking him from transferring to Ohio State, Mercer, Clemson, Georgia Southern and any other SEC school. He’s just the latest player tied down by misguided NCAA rules that allow university’s to block a former player from transferring where he wants.
