On the first drive of Ohio State’s spring scrimmage on Saturday, J.T. Barrett did what we’ve seen him do seemingly hundreds of times. First, he took a snap from the shotgun, rolled right and found his H-back, now Parris Campbell, for a short gain. He then proceeded to methodically lead the gray team down the field for a touchdown. Barrett has amassed 100 total touchdowns in his college career. He needs seven more, running and throwing, to break the Big Ten career record held by Drew Brees. He’s been voted first-team All-Big Ten twice, he finished fifth in the 2014 Heisman Trophy race as a redshirt freshman and he has helped guide Ohio State to two playoff appearances and a Fiesta Bowl while starting 29 games.
