Ohio State improves to 11-2 on the year, while Michigan, who entered the game 0-2 in conference play, falls to 8-4 on the season. Overall, the Buckeyes are now 6-0 against Michigan as Division I rivals. The Buckeye began scoring early and often. Senior specialist Jake Withers won the opening faceoff and took the ball down for Ohio State’s first score just 12 seconds into play. Sophomore attackman Jack Jasinski, coming off a four-goal, three-assist performance against Johns Hopkins last week, followed up with his first goal of the day.
