COLUMBUS – It’s crazy these days to think of Sam Hubbard playing anywhere beside the defensive line for Ohio State. Despite starting his Buckeye career as a safety and moving around a bit over his redshirt first season on campus, Hubbard has become one of the premier defensive ends, not just at OSU but in the country according to Urban Meyer. “It’s always nice to hear compliments like that, but I just always say if you do what they ask you to do in this program, you’ll be successful,” Hubbard said on Thursday when told about Meyer’s comments. “They’ve got you set up for success, so that’s all I’ve done.” In each of his three seasons at Ohio State, Hubbard has taken coaching and improved areas of his game.
