Ohio State, Michigan brace for bowl games

OSU’s title hopes may ride on its pass game When Ohio State takes the field Saturday against Clemson in a College Football Playoff semifinal, it will have been exactly five weeks since the Buckeyes last played. Until the Fiesta Bowl kicks off in nearby Glendale, the third-ranked Buckeyes only can speculate if they adequately addressed their only glaring weakness during the down time: the passing game, particularly pass protection. Of the four teams in the playoff, Ohio State lags far behind the other three in sacks allowed and yards per completion, where the Buckeyes rank 63rd and 105th in the Football Bowl Subdivision, respectively.
