Ohio State football | Indiana LB commits to 2017 class

Indiana linebacker Pete Werner committed to the Ohio State 2017 recruiting class on Sunday, two weeks after stepping back from his long-time pledge to Notre Dame. “Extremely excited to commit to The Ohio State University,” Werner posted on his Twitter page. Considered the 17th-best outside linebacker prospect in the nation by 247sports.com, Werner, from Indianapolis (Cathedral), visited Ohio State the weekend of the Buckeyes’ win over Michigan. He decommitted from Notre Dame the next week and was considered by recruiting analysts to be a major Buckeye lean since. His pledge gave Ohio State two major additions to the linebacker corps this month. Five-star Baron Browning of Kennedale, Texas, considered the No. 1 LB prospect in the country by rivals.com, committed to the Buckeyes on Dec.1.
