Ohio State Defensive Coordinator Luke Fickell Named Head Coach at the University of Cincinnati COLUMBUS — After plenty of speculation over the last week, it was announced on Saturday that Ohio State defensive coordinator Luke Fickell has accepted the head coaching position at the University of Cincinnati. He has agreed to a six-year deal which is pending approval by the UC Board of Trustees. The contract will be released to the public following that approval.
